So my dad's got this 2017 Hyundai Ioniq, and he's running into some bumps. First off, how often should he swap out the clutch oil? Also, when he cranks up the heater, there's this weird clicking sound - anyone know if that's just a normal quirk or if it might need some TLC?

According to the manual, it's recommended to change it every 25k miles.

For the clicking sound, try visually checking your cabin filter if something is stuck on it. Also check the fan underneath it if something is obstructing it. Maybe that's the one making the sound. It's all in the owner's manual btw.

Good job for him on wanting to change the clutch oil.that really important. I would recommend swapping out the clutch fluid regularly (every 2-3 years or as needed) and using DOT-4 instead of DOT-3 for better performance.

That heater clicking sounds familiar, my Ioniq did the same thing! Ended up being the blend door actuator, which wasn’t a big fix but was super annoying. For the clutch oil, around 60k miles seems to be the recommended swap, but I’d double-check the owner’s manual just to be safe.
