I just scored a used 2019 Ioniq and it's been a blast to drive. But I can't shake this worry—it being second-hand and all. What if it starts acting up on me? And let's talk about the elephant in the room - the battery. I've heard it could set me back a cool $15k if it decides to call it quits. Seriously, is that for real? Has anyone here had to cough up that kind of cash for a battery replacement out of warranty?

The US has a 10-year warranty on some EV batteries, requiring them to retain at least 70% capacity. This suggests that battery replacement within that period due to capacity loss wouldn't cost you anything. But it's always good to double-check your own warranty details,
