What could be causing my 2017 Ioniq’s RPM spike?

Once a month or so, while driving my 2017 Ioniq, I experience a strange issue where the RPM suddenly jumps to around 3,500, hitting the red line. I have a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it’s unsettling because no warning lights come on during this spike. It lasts for about a minute before everything returns to normal, as if nothing happened. I’ve tried to pay attention to the conditions when it occurs, but it’s puzzling. I’m starting to wonder if it’s a transmission issue or something else entirely.

Have it diagnosed to know the issue. Maybe it just needs change oil.

Yeah, it could be something with the hybrid system, like maybe the electric motor and engine aren't playing nice together, or even a problem with the transmission. Honestly, you should probably just take it to the dealer and let them figure it out.
