Does anyone have feedback on the built-in sat nav? Are the estimated journey times and traffic information accurate? While it may not compare to Google Maps, it would be a shame to miss out on features like the HUD if the sat nav is unreliable.

Try using an aftermarket satnav. Sometimes, it's much more helpful than the factory one.

Try considering Garmin. They're a quality brand. My brother uses it.

I use Google Maps because it gives more traffic info and details.

If you like the HUD and all the other cool features, the car's own navigation is worth giving a shot for everyday trips. But for important trips or places you don't know well, it's a good idea to use Google Maps or Waze with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay just in case.
