Just got a used 2020 Ioniq the other day and now I'm having trouble getting Android Auto to use the full screen on it. The AA logo’s just hanging out on the right side, and it’s not stretching to full screen. Any ideas on how to get it to go widescreen or make Hyundai’s apps fill up the rest of the display?

Try going to Phone projection settings and turn off split screen. This will adjust the layout, including the menu bar, to use the whole screen. The map won’t get bigger, but you’ll get widgets on the side, which is pretty handy!

Disconnect your phone first. Then select Settings, then Phone. Find Phone/Device Protection, then select Android Auto and uncheck Split Screen. This only applies if you've updated your software since early 2023. Back then, an update added full-screen Android Auto.
