I recently heard an unusual sound while using the heater in my Hyundai Ioniq EV. A buzzing sound is present, and it becomes more noticeable as the fan speed or temperature settings are increased. Is this normal?

I had a similar issue with my Ioniq, and it turned out to be some debris caught near the blower fan. It’s a surprisingly common problem, especially if you park under trees. I’d start by pulling out the cabin air filter and taking a quick peek inside the housing. If you don’t spot anything obvious, it might be worth mentioning it to your dealer during your next service. Sometimes, the motor itself needs a lubrication or replacement.

Is it easy to do it yourself? I don't hear any weird noise, but in case I will start having a similar problem, it is worth knowing how to get rid of it.

My dealer checked out the same kind of thing, and they said it's all good. So, I'm thinking we don't need to stress about it.
