2020 Ioniq Hybrid brake sounds

My 2020 hybrid has started making a whistling noise when I brake or accelerate, and I've noticed it happens when the car goes into electric mode. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

It could be the regenerative braking or something with the electric motor. Might be a good idea to have a mechanic check it out, I've heard other hybrid owners mention the same issue.

Maybe your brakes are worn out already? Considering yours is a 2019 model, I think it's time to replace them.

That’s so interesting, I’ve never noticed a whistling sound on mine, but I’m new to hybrids. Does it happen every time you brake or accelerate, or just at certain speeds?

So, I'm still hearing this noise..... I'm kinda worried because I've heard it might be the transmission, and that the only fix is to replace the whole thing. Anyone know if that's true?

That's a tricky one the electric motor itself can sometimes make a high pitched whine which might become more noticeable as the car gets older or if there's a problem with the bearings. Since it's happening when your car switches to electric mode you might consider bringing your car to your dealer. Has anyone else experienced this whistling sound in their hybrid's electric mode?
