Regen not working?

I've got this 2021 Ioniq hybrid, and sometimes the regen just stops working.

It makes this 'ding' sound and says 'Regeneration conditions not met,' then it won't regen anymore. It only happens in the afternoon, never in the morning.

And it happens even when the battery isn't full. What could be the problem?

It could be related to battery temperature, if the battery or under-hood temps are too high in the afternoon, it might trigger the system to protect the battery by stopping regen.
