I recently picked up a Ioniq with only 10k miles – a real gem! However, this morning I encountered a bit of a scare. My remote key fob completely stopped working. I replaced the battery, but it still wouldn't unlock the car.
I managed to get in using the manual key, and then I reset the 12V battery using the button near the steering wheel. After that, everything seemed to be back to normal.
I'm still covered by the factory warranty, but I'm wondering if this is a sign of a bigger problem. Could it simply be a weak 12V battery, or is there something else I should be concerned about?
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their Ioniq? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
