Hi everyone. My Hybrid Ioniq is now at 70k miles and I'm looking to replace my HSG belt. My dealer quoted me $200 (parts and labor). Is this a decent price?

So my dealership slapped me with a $150 fee, and man, that stung a bit. I could’ve DIY’d it, but that hydraulic tensioner needs this super specific tool to deal with it. On the plus side, I didn’t swap mine out until I hit 90k miles, and it still looked pretty solid.

You could save a lot of money if you DIY it.

You can DIY it if you know how to use tools. Aftermarket belts, in my experience, wear out faster than Hyundai OEM belts. For peace of mind, I'd still stick with the OEM one. Also, don't forget to change the clutch actuator fluid.

That price sounds reasonable for parts and labor. It’s always good to compare with other dealers, though, to be sure.
