I just saw that Hyundai is introducing three new matte colors for the 2025 lineup, and I’m really tempted! But when I visited a dealer earlier this year, they cautioned me against matte finishes.
Before I make a decision, I wanted to ask:
How difficult is it to keep matte paint looking clean?
Is special care required compared to regular gloss finishes?
Does it hold up well in places with lots of sun (like Palm Springs) or in cooler mountain climates (like Lake Arrowhead)?
Would love to hear from current matte color owners is it worth it, or more trouble than it’s worth?
