I'm on a tight budget right now between jobs and desperately need a car. I've been looking at this pre owned Hyundai Ioniq and I'm kinda digging the hybrid thing. But it's $16k and got 150,000 miles on it, and I'm worried about it falling apart on me.

I don't know much about cars, so I could use some advice. What should I look for when I go test drive it? Is 45 MPG even realistic with that many miles?

Man! That’s a rip off. You'd better check out Kelley Blue Book for better pricing ideas. When buying used, things like battery health, how the car looks, and its repair history are super important. If you know someone who knows cars, maybe a mechanic, bring them along for a second opinion. They can help you spot any potential problems.
