I've noticed that my Ioniq Blue gets better mileage than my in-laws' Ioniq 5, despite having the same body dimensions and powertrain.
 
All those fancy hi-tech features and extras in the premium models come with a bit of a trade-off: they suck up more power. That means the engine has to work a bit harder, which can lead to a slight dip in mpg.

Agree with you. I just bought an Ioniq 6 as well and I noticed that it's heavier than the Blue. That's why my Blue is probably getting more mileage than these electric versions.
